Yesterday I got my favorite cookbook-magazine, Everyday Food and my favorite crafty inspiration, FamilyFun in the mail. As I was reading through them I saw so many things I ALREADY knew because I had READ them on BLOGS!
Like this adorable book sling from Vanessa at Silly Eagle Books?
Also on page 73 of Family Fun:
{but even better? this article was actually written by blogger Megan Cooley at pennycarnival.typepad.com!}
Have you been reading the “How To Use a…” series at Feels Like Home? My fave was How To Use a Muffin Tin.
The folks at Everyday Food must have liked it too because look what is on page 81 this month:
I don’t know if you remember my awesome Father’s Day gift on Impress Your Kids:
But Family Fun had almost the same (but not as cute, if I do say so myself) craft this month (page 24):
This is what I love about blogging–there are so many talented people willing to share their skills and knowledge for FREE! It’s like the modern-online-version of a small town—people who help neighbors just because they are neighbors!
{But don’t worry, I’ll still be getting these magazines in the mail–I’m old school enough to want to smell paper and flip pages with my hands!}
So, what do you think? Do bloggers rock or what?

I love the blogosphere – I find so many cute ideas and great articles that I would have to search through hundreds of magazines to find. I love that I can type what I’m looking for in a search engine and the blogs are right at my finger-tips!

love it! So are the magazine editors stalking blogs for ideas? 😉

I immediately thought of you when I saw the popsicle craft in Family Fun! And speaking of flipping through pages & smelling them – I love the new paper Family Fun is using!! It feels retro to me;)

Totally! I was just noticing that I am buying less magazines. Not only are blogs free, but I can just look at the ones that are more my style, which isn’t always as easy with a magazine. There are so many amazingly clever people out there! Lisa~

I couldn’t agree more!I rekcon it’s because they don’t know enough about the foreign language to be able to really help, but they like to provide help’ in some way.

You are so right. I have noticed several times I’ve seen recipes that are VERY close to Pioneer Woman. I often wonder if they are reading her blog too…

Bloggers do rock! And I love that gift idea. My husband’s birthday is next week and I’ve been trying to come up with a good gift from the kids. I just hit my jackpot. Thanks! 🙂

24HourFitnessInc on September 29, 2011 Well first make sure you avoid unhealthy sncaks such as potato chips, donuts, or cookies as they will cause your blood sugar levels to quickly peak, leaving you feeling hungry again soon after. Try fresh fruit (bananas are great), yogurt (Greek yogurt is a good low sugar choice), a low fat bran muffin, or a bagel with cottage cheese.

I love blogs bc of crafty ideas so much too! I was also THIS CLOSE to making mini taco muffins in my muffin pan … but then realized all I own is a mini muffin pan, and that was going to be too hard, so I created a taco pie with a muffin topping. Muffin tops are usually “bad” in clothing lingo, but in food world, YUM! 🙂

Did you see this month’s Martha Stewart Living magazine? They give a suggestion for using a bundt pan. I couldn’t believe it!
Thanks for the shout out. Blogs are way better than magazines! 🙂

LOVE the book sling idea! thanks! 🙂
The picture puzzle thing is a great idea too. Is there a Family Fun spy in your house and passing along your ideas?? *gasp!*

I saw that popsicle stick puzzle while in the waiting room at the dr.’s on wed and thought of your picture one! 🙂

The other greatest thing to learn is YouTube. Whenever I need help on something, I go there, and my answer is answered!
Anush says
Amen to that!If you follow this forum as closley as I do, you will have seen that the same names keep recurring whenever this non-answer appears. I would be pleased to see these idiots banned from Yahoo! Answers; their only purpose can only be to earn simple points.Hahahaha: I’ve just taken a look at the link provided by Ephy in her answer to Kasper’s question. It is evident that, in addition to all the web- addicts,there are a lot of people out there whose French is REALLY terrible!!
