Remember back in the bloggy day when bloggers would hand out awards to their favorite bloggers? I remember the first one I got: The Thinking Blogger Award (Who in the blue blazes gave me THAT?). Anywhoo…I haven’t seen those around the blogsphere lately (maybe it’s just because no one wants to give me one?! yikes!) until I got a fun email from the fabu ladies at The Motherhood.com.
As a part of P&G’s new Thank You Mom project (and contest!), ten mom bloggers (namely, moi) will be using the next five days to publicly thank five mom bloggers! That’s 50 bloggers who will get a little post about how amazing they are! I’m so excited to read these posts and shower a little love.
Today I’m going to give a huge thank-you-shout-out-i-love-you post to Jo-Lynne at Musings of a Housewife. If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you know I love Jo-Lynne. I met her early on in my bloggy life and wish I could remember how…a linky at 5minutesformom, perhaps? Anyway, she’s the only blog I’ve been reading faithfully after all this time. (I know, Jo-Lynne, I don’t comment, but I do read, I promise!)
(my team jo-lynne shirt from blissdom. and my crazy smoky eyes. oh yeah, and jo-lynne!)
Jo-Lynne has this amazing ability to make her readers feel like part of the in-crowd. Her readers always leave long personal comments and she responds happily to each of them.
She feels like the friend you’re picking up with after a long absence. A friend you really missed and are so excited to connect with again!
She’s liberal with linky love, bloggy knowledge and emails. I’ve sent many an email off to Jo-Lynne asking her about blog events, html and silly post questions. In fact, I looked up her first comment on my blog and she wrote, “Hang in there with the blogging. I still feel like that, and I’ve been blogging for a year. You’ll find your niche, though.” (That’s so her!)
Jo-Lynne is the mom who’s just a little ahead of you that can dispense advice about parenting and potty training. She writes about her family with confidence and humility.
She’s the cool friend that’s up on trends and gossip (in a good way gossip!) and events.
She’s the girl you admire because you see her taking charge of her life and making things happen.
Thank you, Jo-Lynne for contributing to my blog, my parenting, my well-being and my circle of friends. Thank you for sharing your life with me through your blog!
This post is part of a sponsored campaign with TheMotherhood.com and P&G. And if you read my post how can you doubt my sincerity?

I think they need an award for great bloggers who AREN’T moms LOL. Need some diversity here!

Hehe you are so right. I guess I take JoLynne for granted because I’ve known her in real life for so long, before either of us took up blogging. So she IS one of those friends who can complete my sentences, but I don’t realize that she comes across that way to everyone 🙂

You got me hooked on Jo-Lynn also… and I have loved reading her blog (and finding out she was a fellow Fighting Scot)…I even won my first give-away from her! You ladies were my introduction to the blogging world and I have had so much fun. (and yes… I might even start blogging again, I think I’m gearing up for a post)

Excellent choice!! You got me hooked on her as well! I’ve always appreciated how she convicts w/out being convicting (and that’s intended as a compliment so I hope it reads as such!).

I heart you and I heart Jo-Lynne. This is lovely and I’m happy to know you both! xoxo

Such a nice post!
Jo-Lynne is a favorite of mine. I have many blogs in my reader but she was the 1st I subscribed to by email. I didn’t want to miss a thing she says. I just had my header design done by her and she was fabulous to work with there as well. With all the projects she has going on, I don’t know how she does it but I’m glad she does!
I am DYING of laughter right now… be sure to check out my Top Ten Tuesday post tomorrow and you will see why!!!! 😉
i just wanted to apologize…. sincerely apologize. the first time i partipicated in top 10 tuesday, i did something probably not so G rated…. and that’s totally not how i meant it!!! (i did top 10 mood killers) it was funnily on my mind and i thought it would be interesting and funny. didn’t mean for it to be bad.
i apologize.
Nice; I love this project and it’s turning out to be SUCH a great week!
Hi Amanda! You picked a great mama to thank. Jo-Lynne is awesome – talented, funny, fashionable, kind-hearted, and she “keeps it real.” I hope to meet her in-person someday. 🙂
Great post right here. One thing I’d like to say is that most professional domains consider the Bachelors Degree just as the entry level standard for an online education. When Associate Diplomas are a great way to get started on, completing ones Bachelors reveals many entrance doors to various employment opportunities, there are numerous online Bachelor Diploma Programs available from institutions like The University of Phoenix, Intercontinental University Online and Kaplan. Another issue is that many brick and mortar institutions give Online versions of their qualifications but typically for a extensively higher charge than the companies that specialize in online degree plans.
Interesting post made here. One thing I would like to say is most professional areas consider the Bachelors Degree as the entry level requirement for an online diploma. Even though Associate College diplomas are a great way to get started on, completing ones Bachelors opens many good opportunities to various employment opportunities, there are numerous online Bachelor Diploma Programs available from institutions like The University of Phoenix, Intercontinental University Online and Kaplan. Another concern is that many brick and mortar institutions provide Online editions of their certifications but usually for a substantially higher fee than the organizations that specialize in online college degree programs.
I have noticed that costs for online degree professionals tend to be a terrific value. For instance a full College Degree in Communication from The University of Phoenix Online consists of Sixty credits from $515/credit or $30,900. Also American Intercontinental University Online gives a Bachelors of Business Administration with a overall course feature of 180 units and a tariff of $30,560. Online studying has made getting the education far less difficult because you can earn your current degree through the comfort of your house and when you finish working. Thanks for all the tips I have learned from your blog.
