I’ve laid out 3 of 5 outfits. I am supposed to wear capris, pants or long skirts. I have none of those. Jeans, yes. But anything else cool and appropriate? Nope.
I still need to charge my camera and find all appropriate computer cords.
I grabbed some tortelinni and ravioli for quick lunches for the kids. But I still want at least 3 frozen dinners (and my frozen dinners I mean, a meal that I make and freeze!) for quick cookin’ for my husband.
I washed and folded all the clothes in the house (which is a ridiculous amount even sans capris and skirts).
I still need to lay out and pack the kids’ clothes to go to my parents’ house.
I have some guest-posts lined up for Impress Your Kids. (And they are GOOD too! Make sure you click over there next week.)
I really need to write a few other posts for Georgia.com and answer some Disney World Moms questions before I go. (shameless plug.)
I bought Mari Luz a backpack and some school supplies (and even a cute outfit from Target).
I really need to write her a letter and let the kids make a card for her. Plus, I want to print out some pictures of our family for her! (I hope she likes us!)
I found my passport (HEINOUS HEINOUS picture) and even made a copy of it just in case.
I wanted to buy one of these cute passport cases to offset the heinous picture. (Really, it’s so heinous, I’m too embarrassed to show it to you.)
I need to get a birthday present for my niece who will be turning SIX while I’m gone. (How can she be six?!!)
Oh, and I really wanted to make little gifts or cards for the kids each day I’ll be gone. (*sniff*)
Think I can get that all finished by Monday when I leave for the Dominican Republic?
I’ve got a World Vision-centric My New Favorite for tomorrow. But after that, the next time you’ll see me here is when I’m IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC! See you then!
Don’t forget to grab the button in my sidebar (—–>) to help spread the word about our trip. You can follow our tweets with #WVinDR.

I just re-read this post after I published it and it felt so shallow. I wonder what Mari Luz is doing right now? Sitting at her kitchen table? One of three tables she has in her house? Admiring the new blinds on the six windows she has in her kitchen? Texting her friends on her cell phone? Spending two hours folding loads of clothes that a brand new washing machine just washed? Stacking dishes in the sink because she forgot to buy dishwashing detergent? Putting three different products on her hair to make it looks good? Choosing between several different pair of earrings? Deciding on the most comfortable shoes?
*sigh*
My real final checklist? Is to EXPERIENCE. Experience my children. Experience what God is doing in me, in our family and in the world. The button on my sidebar is a quote from Bob Pierece the founder of World Vision, “Let my heart be broken by the things that break the heart of God.” Can I re-word it and say, “Let my heart be FOCUSED and FULL of the things that break the heart of God.” I don’t want my heart full of stuff, or lists or even good intentions. I want my heart full of what God is doing and wants to accomplish.
That’s all.

Great post. Great p.s. to your post. Josh and I are leaving tomorrow to go to a five star resort in Mexico where “luxury” and “pampered” are the base line. I’m so glad I read this so I could recenter my heart, too, instead of allow myself to be sucked in to that mentality. I’ll be thinking of you when I show my equally heinous passport picture. 🙂

I have discovered that charges for internet degree specialists tend to be an awesome value. For example a full Bachelors Degree in Communication from The University of Phoenix Online consists of Sixty credits at $515/credit or $30,900. Also American Intercontinental University Online provides a Bachelors of Business Administration with a full study course element of 180 units and a tariff of $30,560. Online studying has made having your certification so much easier because you might earn the degree in the comfort of your abode and when you finish from office. Thanks for all your other tips I’ve learned from your web-site.
