As the mom of two young adults and The Mawmaw of one precious grandson, let me tell you … those hands grow quickly. A few years ago I got an old table that the children’s department at church was getting rid of. I stripped and sanded it and repainted it white. Then each one of us (Mawmaw, Pap, Chris, Kelly, and Jay) traced our hands on it and painted each one a different color. It’s amazing now to go back and have Jay put his soon to be 11-year-old hand next to the one he painted 5-6 years ago and see how much he’s grown.
