My Ace of Hearts

Asa…my Ace of Hearts…he’s turning 1 on the 20th…

AND I AM IN FULL FLEDGED PARTY PLANNING MODE!

So, the first place I stopped for inspiration is of course, ETSY. (rhymes with BETSY…ugh, I still can’t get used to that!) So, here are a few things I’ve found so far…

It’s a brooch. I’m not sure if Asa would appreciate a brooch with a feather in it, but isn’t that cute?! And I am lovin’ the green in the background…table coverings, perhaps?

I wouldn’t want it to say LUCKY because my son is BLESSED beyond measure! But I love the tatoo look. Maybe we could have a tattoo station? Nah, that might be a little much.

OK, so this isn’t from etsy. It’s a personalized deck of playing cards from Bicycle! Isn’t that cool? It just pulled a picture right off my flickr! They are 20 bucks, but I think it would be a memorable gift for me Asa.

But nothing says Happy First Birthday like a casino themed bib! (Seriously? This is a little much. Please don’t send this as a gift…)

If you see any other cute ACE stuff you think I might like, let me know!

OK, seriously, will you come plan Libbie’s party? The theme is “our little pumpkin.” I have invitations. Go at it! Ha.

Can’t wait! I’ve had a deck of photo cards made before, but I don’t remember spending $20 – I think I had mine made at Walmart … you might want to check around.

I don’t know why, but when I hear “Ace” I think of airplanes. Maybe a Flying Aces theme could work?? Just a thought.

What a creative idea!! I don’t have much planned for Ivy’s first next week- but I do plan to have a pirate/mermaid theme to accomodate all the boys and girls in our family!
