in me
Lydia, Les and Asa experienced Disneyland for the first time yesterday! Five of my cousins and two of my aunts accompanied us. So, here are my favorite pictures in no particular order…
1. Asa, Lydia and me by Aurora’s Castle

2. Asa’s new pirate hat.

3. My aunt and Asa waiting for the 12 noon show at Small World. All the kids pop out of the windows and do a little dance like an old cuckoo clock. It’s so cute!

4. Lydia and Tinkerbell!

5. Asa investigating the carousel horse.

6. Lydia, the movie star waiting in line with my cousin Emily, also a movie star.

7. Minnie Pumpkin! The park was decorated for Halloween–there were pumpkins everywhere!

8. Lydia and Pooh’s Hunny Pots

9. Asa and my cousin Paul waiting in line. It’s not really a Disney-ish photo, but I just love seeing my kids love my family and my family love them!

10. Fairy Houses in Pixie Hollow. (I want to live in one of these!)

lydia loving my aunt and uncle
Excited kids. Bumped flights. Four hours in the air. Nice passengers. Lots of snacks. Waiting in airport. Rental cars stink. Finally! Hugging the family. Eating and talking. Talking and eating. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Homemade breakfast. More eating. More talking. Love. Hugs. Smiles. DISNEYLAND. Tinkerbell. Run from Goofy. Small World. Laughter. Dole Whip. Pirates. Winnie the Pooh. No fireworks. Strollers. Slings. Strollers. Arms. Bye-bye, Mickey. Driving. Sleeping. Carrying to bed. Late night conversations. Food. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Early morning hugs from a sleepy one year old. Lazy breakfast. Naps. Playing. Waiting for family. And more fun…

Now, onto the decor…
I didn’t do much. Well, I did. I just did the same thing everywhere. I made the card garlands…

(just cut a slit in the middle of the card and thread some fat ribbon. this one had about 20 cards on it.)

(we did horizontal and vertical garlands. this one was asa’s birthday 9/20/08.)

(tissue paper puff balls. i found several tutorials online but basically: 10 sheets, accordian fold, tie in middle, fluff.)

(pictures of Asa, month by month. oh, and we used leftover cards taped together as cute little table tents.)
And there you have it: the ACE party!
