An Usborne Book E-Party!

Did you know my mom used to be a Tupperware lady? She was.

And Daddy still teases her because she used to chant along with her other Tupperware lady friends, “Fifteen-hundred dollars worth of Tupp-er-ware!” (Or something. It’s funny when Daddy does it.)

Anyway, I’m doing my own version of an at-home-buy-some-stuff-party…it’s an USBORNE BOOK E-PARTY*! Are you so excited? Starting TODAY, as in right now (!) I’ve got my own little Usborne Book Shop* up.  It will be open allllll the way till August 26th at midnight. You can buy books, buy books or just plain old buy books! Isn’t that great?

What makes Usborne books so special? Well, I’m not really sure yet. I’m going to have a REAL party at my house next week and I’m sure I’ll learn all about it. But I do have 2 Usborne books that I really really like…

Panda in the Park. It’s a panda book! What can I say? I have a soft spot for all things panda! Staci gave this to Lydia when she was a baby. And it has been slobbered on and read 3000 times.

Internet Linked Children’s Enclclopedia. You can look stuff up in the book and then go to the Usborne site for more info, downloads and websites. It’s very cool. Lydia gets an encyclopedia from my parents at every holiday because…

So, anyway, I’ll have a link up in my sidebar (soon)…or feel free to click here* and shop all week long!

*click! for some reason my links are not highlighting or underlining…can you see them?

ha! That’s great! Usborne books are great – very tough, but beautiful and educational! I’ll have to see if we need any books for the fall…

Amanda what I love the very mostest of the Usborne books, is the jigsaws. The two piece jigsaws are cool for wee ones, and then there are the 4/5 piece ones on up to the bigger ones. I guarantee you will love them!

I have LOVED everything I’ve gotten from there. We’ve put a lot of books in the neighborhood consignment sale, but I won’t get rid of the Usborne ones. Saving them for my grandchildren.

A favorite at our house when we had a toddler were the “bath books” but we didn’t just use them in the bath. Those were the ones that went to the grocery store and restaurants. Why? Because they could go in soapy water to clean off all the germs, and if Mags got her mac and cheese or ketchup all over one, it just wiped off. LOVED them.

We are now into the Usborne chapter books, and they are great too. I’ll have to see if we need any for our collection

My children have grown up with Usborne Books! Starting with amazing fun, phonics books to help my children read. My children now love the chapter books and use the Internet Linked books for projects and studying in Middle school and High School.

I’m really excited to introduce these great books to your family and friends!
Thanks for giving me the opportunity!

I love, LURVE the muppet video. That is hilarious. I sure hope your Lydia doesn’t come with tattoos of wars and such.
In that same line of thinking, my family called my Hill-top and I got sleds that were “Hill-top” flyers (the name brand) every Christmas. And we lived in South Alabama. Where it only snowed twice in the 18 years I lived there.

Let’s just say I hope your Lydia gets more use out of her encyclo-pid-ee-uhs than I did out of my sleds! Love it!
