I love that Dallas Willard defines prayer as talking with God about what we’re doing together. When I think about that in context of my kids, it seems even more appropriate since I feel I’m the doing while he’s the one guiding, but we are a team. Praying for my children is also a passion of mine and while some prayers are more desperate than other’s, I know I will falter in many ways as their mother. But I can say without a doubt that on a daily, sometimes hourly basis I went to the Father on their behalf, begging for guidance, mercy, or peace over their lives.

What a beautiful reminder, Amanda, that we are praying for their LIVES. I never looked at it that way but that’s exactly what it is.

Wow! THanks Amanda! I really needed to read this post this morning. We have had a challenging week with Madison and I needed to be reminded instead of complaining and being frustrated with her that I need to PRAY for her instead! THank you!
