Something semi-similar happened to me, in that I bled like hemorrhage bled with my son, and they swore I was miscarrying when they saw all the blood. The prepped me with pads, I heard the whispers saying the word "miscarriage" in the halls. But it was just blood, and so much of it, so they pulled out the ultrasound. I recall crying, holding my mother's hand who rushed to be there with me. The doctor gasped a little. I cried harder, thinking it was over. He showed me - the sac was in tact. The black and white screen had a perfect ball in the middle with a squiggly little ant of a baby, encapsulated with white all around. That white? Blood. The sac was in tact, it was not coming from him.

And for the next few months, in my first trimester, I would bleed, I would rush off, I would get more ultrasounds, and more people amazed at the level of blood and yet, he was fine. And is fine. He started 4th grade yesterday. :)

i loved that you ate breakfast to defy all. seriously. things do happen, doctors suggestions are for a reason, etc...but i think it is wonderful that you & your hubby held on to what you knew was true and of course each other.

how could anyone view this post as weird. it was lovely & uplifting to read. thanks.
