It’s Backwards Day

by oh amanda on April 22, 2009

in backwards day,me

Asa waking up two times in the middle of the night is SO FUN. It’s like a special little playtime just for me and him. I so totally don’t miss my sleep.

Taking a shower with two kids in the bathroom? That is a fun time.

Unpacking boxes is the best. I totally wish I didn’t have furniture and just kept everything in boxes. Then I could just dig through them all the time to find my stuff. That would be awesome. And they would so totally match each other.

45 minute naps for a 7 month old is totally refreshing and normal. I wish Asa would just take one 45 minute nap a day!

I never overuse words. Especially “totally”.

Break-and-bake cookies? DISGUSTING.

what about you?

I really enjoy it when my 2 1/2 year old spends the entire day glued to my leg. Especially when I’m trying to get things done. It’s very helpful.

Also: I wish I could stay pregnant forever. I just feel so feminine and delicate. I really enjoy all the restful, blissful feelings.

You’re such an inspiration! (Ok, that part is NOT backwards.)

Backtalking teens are SO much fun. It makes spending time with them so enjoyable.

It’s also wonderful when said teen decides to fake being sick to stay home from school. Isn’t it sweet how he loves to stay home with mom?

Dogs who find rolling in the mud just after they’ve had a bath essential to life just make MY life fun. I so enjoy cleaning up the mud off the floor, the walls and washing all the bedding that he decided to roll around on after rolling in the mud. It just gave me something to do today.

I mean, I didn’t have anything to do. What a nice dog for thinking of me.

The poop limit has not been exceeded in this house today.

If Wog NEVER wants to use the potty, that’s cool with me.

My teeth have been brushed and my face has been washed.

My hair is ROCKIN’!

I have the baby excuse, and I have the best hair do and I’ve showered too!

My house is so clean…in fact, I run this household like clock work. My kiddos are dressed and have their hair and teeth brushed. I’m not wearing the jeans I slept in and I totally have been eating healthy today.

Oh, and I’m going green.

I totally didn’t really admit all this…did I?

The end of the year brings out the best in my 6th graders. They’re so motivated to learn and have an eagerness that is overwhelming.

I L-O-V-E this week of CRCT testing. I love the fact that I “get” to stare at them for 2 solid hours. Being able to do things like grade papers, plan, get online or catch up on emails would only get in the way of that joyous time of walking around the room and staring at my kids for two solid hours. I definitely don’t have to try to keep myself awake.

I’m SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO extremely sad the end of the year is almost here! What will I ever do?!?!?

I love how healthy I and my family have been this year! We’ve only caught (and spread) about three strains of viruses.

And who doesn’t love coughing through the night for two weeks straight?

My only hope is to catch at least one more sickness before summer.

I’ve not been trying desplarately to get online all day. I have used my time wisely, doing laundry and dishes, not staring at my homepage trying to force my email to come up by sheer will.
I will not give up and go listen to New Moon, instead. I don’t need anything to fill my time since it’s turnoff tv week.

I totally love sitting at a car dealership all morning with a 2 1/2 year old, only to learn the car that was on order was accidently wrecked the day before and we have to go back on Monday to do it all again and sign the paperwork. And I especially love the fact that my attention-to-detail husband scheduled this transaction at the WRONG dealership – not the one close to our house, but instead at the one that’s all the way around the Perimeter. I LOVE driving on 285. (Whew, I feel better.)

I love that there are ticks in my new yard! I was so super excited to find one on my daughter’s head. I did a gleeful dance! I didn’t dare call her doctor and flip out. Even if I had, I wouldn’t be sitting here waiting for the nurse to call back. Oh no, not me! I also love that the new paint for the bathroom is so much brighter than the paint sample was AND I’m definitely tall enough to paint the ceiling!

I love how Ruffies redesigned their trashbags so that everytime I take one out of the can it splits all the way down the side.

I also find it especially enjoyable to do the mass amounts of laundry that have taken over my laundry area. Yippee!!

I don’t want my contract to go through, and I wish people would stop wanting to see my house because I really don’t want to sell! I would much rather my clients just keep on looking so I could work every day and weekend but life is not fair.

My husband has been gone for 3 days, I love it when he’s gone on business!

But I do hate not sharing the bed when he’s gone.

I also have pink eye today. I love it! It’s so much fun hiding my face from people when I willingly go out in public to show the world my beautiful, swollen eye!!!

Lost is on tonight. sure do hate that show.

I think you are a really un-entertaining writer and I don’t feel sorry for your nap dilemma at all. I can’t relate to it a bit.

Just wanted to share Snickers ice cream bars are absolutely vile especially when you are PMSing. I don’t know this from personal experience.

I hope tomorrow is just like today was for you. That box thing makes me particularly envious.

bah ha ha! My brain is not working well enough to try the backwards thing. I read “break-and-bake cookies? DISGUSTING” and I was like…..um….what? I think those are totally tasty. Yeah…..I get it now. We had a terrible napping day today. Can you tell?

Oh, yeah…I am so totally thrilled that our car is in my stepdad’s driveway for like the third week in a row while he tries to fix it. I love having to borrow a car and feel indebted to everyone I know. It is a very SPECIAL feeling.
I so did NOT have a huge argument with my husband today because when he dropped my 8 year old daughter at our house after school he OF COURSE watched until she got in the door before heading back to work (in case I was in the back bedroom or something and could not hear her knocking…) so OF COURSE I did NOT come into the front room to hear her calling me through the front window!!!
And I did NOT also buy some break & bake cookies today…and I am NOT waiting for my daughter to go to bed so I can delve into them…
MMMMMMM, HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM………….

I’m really proud of myself for choosing all the healthy foods in my pantry instead of eating a Big Mac and four chocolate balls today. My self-control sometimes just floors me.

Days like this just do wonders for my self-esteem.

P.S. Totally not backwards: I loved this post! Totally.

i totally love showering with extra people in the bathroom and sometimes even the shower. i love cleaning up the water that then somehow gets all over the floor and i never go to the gym just to shower in peace and quiet, get clean and not have to clean the bathroom afterwards. yep, definately don’t do that.
