My Grandmother 1931.
Well, at least I think this is my grandmother. When I first looked at this picture I was sure it was her. Then the back said “Evelyn 1922”. I have no idea who Evelyn is and 1922 is eight years before my grandmother was born!
Then as I looked a little closer, I saw my grandmother’s name and the date 1931 written in pencil. I wish I knew who Evelyn was and why her name was written on the back.
But besides the mystery of Evelyn on the back, I love this one because it looks artsy! I love thinking about my great-grandmother (?) taking pictures of her little girl, the same way I do today!

I so wish I had more black & whites. Someone in my family, somewhere, has to have some. I need to start digging.

Yeah — someone really got down in the grass for this shot. Very artsy.
