I don’t know what all Grandpa did for work- but I do know that during the Depression, he did a variety of work- like working on the roads with the WPA. Maybe the fire department was part of that whole work journey for him.

That’s so neat! Now that I have a scanner, maybe I’ll have to participate in this kind of meme sometime. What state is the Oxford you’re talking about in? I know of an Oxford in Nebraska, but I’m guessing it’s not the same one…
