Last week we went to a wedding. I love weddings and started crying when the first note was played. I couldn’t stop thinking of my Lydia and Asa getting married themselves one day. When we finally got home, I was getting Lydia ready for bed and she gave me a big hug and said, “I’m going to keep you EVERY day!”
I have no idea why she said that , but it was the sweetest thing I’d ever heard! I got tears in my eyes and thought, “I’m remembering this forever!”
When I was pregnant with Lydia, I was VERY pregnant around Christmas. It was special because I felt like I understood how Mary must have felt carrying her firstborn, Jesus. Sometimes there are times when I identify with her again—when my children do something I want to remember forever, I think of the scripture that says Mary “treasured all these things in her heart.” I finally know what that means. My heart is full of treasures from my children.

My heart is full of my treasures from my children but now it is overflowing with treasures from my grandchildren. We had the best time together yesterday, ranging in age from 2 years old, to 9 months old to 4 months. Each one is beautiful and special and memories are being made everyday.

beautitul. I love it when Elias says something like that – “Momma, you’re my best friend.”

Beautiful post! I felt similarly when we were walking out of the church today and Woggie pointed to the nativity and said “There’s Baby Jesus in the Baby Jesus bed.” The thought of him getting to know Jesus made my heart just about burst!
