It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Les’ sister and family are in town for Thanksgiving. But since they are missionaries to Mexico, they are only in the states for a short time. They won’t be here for Christmas. So guess what that means? Christmas AT Thanksgiving! Yahoo! Tomorrow we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving AND Christmas with Les’ family. I’m so excited!

Les’ mom is making turkey, dressing and gravy…which is like the best southern thing you’ve ever had in your life. I’m bringing green bean casserole and some yummy corn. Plus, a cheeseball and some peppermint Oreo cookies. (I know, it’s bad when you think Oroes is a real dessert. But they are ridiculously good.)

Last Sunday after church, we hit up Toys R US, Old Navy and the used CD store (Les’ fave) for Christmas presents. I’m one of those week of Christmas kinda shoppers, so it’s fun to have some little presents hidden around our house already.

Les is off today and we’re going to stay home to cook and wrap presents. (Oh, and I might go get my haircut. Not Christmasy, but oh! will it feel good!) Merry Happy Christmas Thanksgiving!

A friend of mine had her parents and sister visit her over the Thanksgiving holiday, but since they weren’t going to be together for Christmas, they combined the two. They called it ThanksChristmas! 🙂 Sounds like you will be celebrating the two also! Hope you have a great time!

Oh, and how can you cut your hair?! It’s so short already! 🙂

That sounds like fun! I actually just returned from serving 2 years as a missionary in Mexico and get to be in the states for 2 1/2 months before I move to Canada to do another term. I’m having so much fun celebrating just about EVERYTHING right now. Haha. What organization does your sister-in-law with? Who knows, maybe I’ve met her!

Oh, how fun! Where are they in Mexico? Some of our very best friends and their little ones are working with street kids in Mexico city, and a family from our church are (completely unrelatedly) working with the Pima people a few hours outside Chihuahua. So Mexico is always close to our heart 🙂

    Merry Christmas!

I personally think we should celebrate Christmas every month. Oh, the food part. Because I’d be seriously broke if I had to give everyone presents every month. Unless they like coupon books.

    Merry Happy Christmas Thanksgiving!

BTW, I gave you an award over at my blog. Stop by when you have a chance!

Welcome!
