Adventures in Bunny-wearing

So did you hear the uproar in the blogosphere and twitter-land about the Motrin babywearing ads? YIKES. I knew social media was a force. But this shows how big it is. And how loud (in a good way) moms can be.

Anyway, there are so many posts about it, I’m not even sure where to link to. But I thought in honor of moms (hear us roar!), I thought I’d post my own babywearing picture.

Or as close as I could get…

Hey Amanda if she want’s her own sling let me know! I have a sewing pattern for just that! I am going to make one for Ms. Issy, so I could easily whip up another and send some clippies too!

I haven’t heard about the uproar. (Yes, I live in a cave.) But I have seen that ad a couple of times. I just thought it was weird.

Lydia is so sweet!

Ok, Lydia is just darling. I want to mash her (good mash!)

And the motrin ad… when I first started watching it, I was like “Ok, what’s the big deal?” Then they kept going and going and I was like “Ok, we get the point. You can stop now.” The whole thing really didn’t make me mad, but I think it was just poor judgement and scripting on motrin’s part. Their target market they were going for would have completely got the point with just a few words… “if wearing your kid makes you a little achy (achey?), then take motrin to feel better.” Looks like they learned their lesson, though. :-)
