I just laid the pirate down for a nap. Lydia was in her bed completely quiet. I was all ready to hop on the computer and blog about something blog-worthy. Not about naps, or breastfeeding or my lack of showers. Then Lydia decides she has to go potty. Oh, but not really. She actually just wants to get up and tear toilet paper to shreds. And when I throw her over my shoulder pick her back up to go to bed, she wants “Daaaadddyyy” and kicks her legs and screams. So, after fifteen treks to her room I’m back on the computer (listening to her whimper in her bed) and wondering what in the heck it was I was going to post about.
Speaking of wondering…in case you were wondering bloglines has gone psycho. (I’ve been wondering why I’ve had like zero comments lately…it’s because bloglines says I haven’t updated.) And apparently everyone has jumped ship to GoogleReader. But I can’t figure it out. It seems like I actually have to click through for it to mark it as “read”. Any one love GoogleReader and want to fill me in on how it works?
Speaking of stupid computer stuff, my computer went haywire and deleted EVERYTHING. Like my iphoto library (thank goodness it was backed up), my sticky notes, my passwords, my wallpaper–everything. So, now I cannot remember my username to get into my ohamanda-email. I’ve tried everything. So, I haven’t been ignoring you. And as soon as I figure out how to pick an internet lock, I’ll be responding to your comments.
Speaking of me…did anyone watch My Own Worst Enemy? How freaky was that?! I’m still a little confused though…why would they make a “normal” personality for him? I can understand why you’d make the 007-type guy for a normal person, but why the normal personality for the spy-guy? Anyway, I’m looking forward to that one. I want to figure out what’s going on.
And last but not least, speaking of well, nothing really…I just made chocolate chip cookies for myself. Lydia’s screaming session is now a distant memory.
Sorta.

I am sticking with Bloglines for now- only because I am lazy! Will be interested in what you find out!
Steph
I tried Google reader, but b/c I’d used bloglines for too long, it just confused me. So I went back to Bloglines.
I watched My own worst enemy… Will the show tonight be a repeat or will it be new? Anyway – I didn’t even think about why they would’ve made a new identity for him! hmmm…
Bloglines isn’t working for you? Seriously? I haven’t had any problems. Sorry, I can’t give any Google advise.
Have you been able to watch Heros yet?? My husband has decided he doesn’t want to follow it anymore….so I need someone to talk it over with!! Help!
I love Google Reader, and jumped the Bloglines ship more than a year ago. I switched because BL wasn’t updating my Blogger feeds as quickly as I wanted.
GR allows you import all your Bloglines subscription, so that’s nice. And there are a couple different ways you can have it mark posts as “read,” but I have it configured so that it marks a post as read as soon as I scroll past it. You can manually check posts as read, but that’s too tedious for me.
I highly recommend it. The interface is easy once you get the hang of it. It also has some neat features like allowing you to share posts (see the left sidebar of my blog for an example), suggesting blogs you might like, and all sorts of useful stats for your inner number cruncher
If you need specific help for GR, I’d be happy to help.

My bloglines updated!! Hopefully it was just a temporary glitch.
As I’m reading posts on my Google Reader, they automatically get marked as read. I have mine set up in a reader and not on my homepage. I don’t know if that makes a difference or not though.

Argh! My Bloglines informed me today that I am 12 Oh posts behind!
HH uses GoogleReader…maybe I’ll get him to train me on it! But that sounds like so much effort… effort I really need to put into cooking dinner or scrubbing the toilet.
