Asa is one month old today. It’s hard to believe. It’s been the longest month of my life. But it’s also flown by. I wish I could write all the emotions and feelings that have been flooding my heart and my mind and my body this last month. They’ve been conflicting, that’s for sure.
I’ve been on the epitome of an emotional roller coaster. The high of a belonging to a newborn baby that is beyond beautiful and soft and sweet and precious contrasted to the low of being unable to care for him, not knowing what he needs and feeling completely inadequate. It’s been a month completely on its own plane. I’ve been in the Land of Asa in the country of the Pirate.
Today I vlogged about Asa’s first month. And it’s not sappy, sweet or even featuring Asa. Sorry. I wanted to do something fun to celebrate Asa each month and I vlogged a few of my ideas.

I think it will be easy to see growth on the horse … I vote for the horse!

i LOVE the growth chart tree. that is the best growth chart I’ve ever seen! That’s my favorite!!!
I love watching your vlogs! It’s like being in the room with you! My favorite is the growth chart tree. So cute! I sure know what you mean about that first month or two and there is nothing you can do but forge ahead and know it will get better. I thought by #3 and #4 it would get easier and it did in a way, but that time of getting to know that little person that you are instantly so responsible for is overwhelming and wonderful and hard and tiring and the older they get the easier it gets and then you are just sad because you miss those first few weeks when they were so tiny you can’t even remember and you wish you had just another week like that because you forget the other side…

I like both the tree growth chart and the guitar. We were using a stuffed lamb, and Ladybug quickly out grew that visual marker. Oh well.
Love the leg warmers! The growth chart pic is a keeper. That would look adorable blown up.
You got Asa to sit up! Wow!
I think I’m partial to the guitar one and the sitting-on-the-couch one. He is cute no matter what he is doing.
We have those same Baby Legs! Haven’t used them much lately, of course….

I just realized Lydia & Evan are the 5th & 6th respectively & Asa & Megan are the 20th & 21st … funny hahah:)
Oh, my gosh! He is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you sure we can’t just borrow him for a while! I love the growth chart pic and the one of him sitting up and looking to the side! So cute:)
