I just found the coolest website! Well, I actually found it via one of the girls on my baby messageboard. It’s called Rate my Space from HGTV’s website. You can upload your pictures of the rooms you’ve decorated and people rate them.
I got lost in it for about an hour last night. I was just looking through the nurseries and getting seriously jealous! Look at this one…
This is just a NORMAL person who did this! Isn’t it cool? (Click the pic to see more.) There were a ton this awesome. Seriously, this is the place to go for inspiration!
Because…uhm…well, my pirate still has pink walls, Lydia’s black and green dresser, a pink toile covered glider and oh yeah, one of these in hot pink…
Remind me of how he’s not going to care about that stuff at first…
And don’t even think about rating my space!

Wow! That’s an adorable room. Like you said, he’s not going to care. Neither of my girls had a “nursery” or half the stuff most babies had. They still love me.
Wow- that is a cool room. I’ll have to go check out that site. Maybe I’ll get motivated to do some redecorating.
Aww – you tricked me! I totally thought that was the pirate’s space for a second there (not very piratey, I was thinking) – LOL!
If it makes you feel any better, Pippa’s nursery was painted we-don’t-know-what-we’re-having green and decorated with all the random stuff I got at my (non-registered-for) shower. And she was the only one to ever have a nursery. Are you feeling like super-mom in comparison now?
Oh, and he really won’t care!
Cami didn’t even go into her room until she was 6 months old and my husband insisted.
I’m just now finishing up her room 2 years later! I need one of those things for Cami’s animals…where did you find it?

That room is awesome! I wish that I could be that creative. I’m the type that only puts an outfit together if I see it on a mannequin(sp) first. Abigail’s room was Shiloh’s Baby Guess Bear (denim plaid) I just added pink sheets & pink decorations on the wall. I think you’re right…he won’t care. It’s like when we throw 1st birthday parties. It’s really for everybody else b/c baby won’t remember

I had not the time nor the inclination to decorate the nursery for a second time. Does that make me a bad mom? Oh wait, this is about you . . . as far as I am concerned, you’re doin great to get out of bed each morning at this stage of your pregnancy, nevermind redecorating!
Very cool room! I thought it was actually what you had done before I read the blog! I know it will be cute whatever you do to it!

Even a pink pirate room beats the heck out of having to share a room w/ him. I am awake all night listening to every little newborn noise. Ack!
