Look what I bought at Ikea today!

Can’t wait to fill it with Dr. Seuss books, fairy houses, plastic food and Little People Uno.

I really wanted to get this…

but thought dh might be upset if I brought home a 6 foot tall pink wardrobe for Lydia’s room.

  5. I have that but in the smaller version, on its side. LOVE IT!! It’s in the boys room and houses SO many toys and books.

    Did you get the little boxes that slide in too? 🙂

  6. I LOVE the Expedit shelves. I had to have one when we bought our house 2 years ago… I just recently surrendered the bottom shelf to kids’ books and puzzles. sigh – I am very reluctant to share that thing with anybody…

  7. i LOVE IKEA!!! a million times over… Love it. I used to want that wardrobe because, honestly, it’s quite possibly the coolest thing.

  8. Nice buy. We hit the Ikea when we visited my brother in Philadelphia last summer. We wouldn’t have left the store, except for “kids” and “jobs” and “responsibilities” that needed attention.

  9. We have the smaller version, too. And like Toni, we use ours on its side as a bookshelf. It’s fabulous.

    Ikea is truly the coolest furniture store on the planet. Inexpensive, funky stuff that isn’t cheap, if you know what I mean.

  11. Ooh, you’ve given me another thing to “need” for the boys’ playroom at the new house. I’m referring to the cubby shelf unit thing, BTW – not the pretty pink wardrobe. Pink wouldn’t go over too well with Danny!.

  12. You should be awarded a medal of honor for not getting the pink one! I do love the white one, too. A very practical choice.

  13. I’ve had my eye on the shelf for months and months! I’m making myself wait until we buy a house, then I’ll see if the ‘new’ house has the perfect spot for it.
