Fashion. Well, I just don’t get it. I mean, yeah, I watch Project Runway. But I just don’t get it. I don’t understand ruffles and feathers and layers and layers of fabric.
I say all that to say…
Big Mama is having a little Fashion Fiesta. So we can all look into each other’s closets. Because don’t you SO want to do that? I wanted to take pictures of all my amazing outfits but my dh has stolen my camera to use at work (what-ever). I’ve been camera-less for days and have missed so many pictures of Lydia in front of the azaleas and dogwoods.
Anywhoooo. Where was I? Oh yes, MY FASHION. (*guffaw*) When it comes to personal fashion, I’m more of a jeans and tshirt kinda girl. I wouldn’t say I’m frumpy but trendy isn’t exactly my style, either.
Due to the stolen camera I had to go back through my flickr and find some good representations of my *style*.
Exhibit A: Two shirts
I almost always wear 2 shirts. In the winter, it’s a long sleeved shirt with a short sleeved shirt over it. Mainly because a) I’m cold blooded and b) it makes me summer wardrobe last all winter.
Exhibit B: Tshirt & Tank Top
I think I own about 25 different colored tank tops. It all started when I was nursing Lydia. I bought 2 nursing shirts and immediately deemed them the biggest-waste-of-money-ever. So, I started wearing a long tank top under EVERYTHING. It’s been over a year since I nursed her but for some reason, those tanks make me feel…skinnier. Plus, if you’re wearing a little bit of a low-rise jean, they help cover up…you know, places. And as an extra bonus, they add a splash of color and/or pattern to an otherwise drab ensemble! Yes, folks, we have pizazz!
Exhibit C: Jeans and Easy Shoes
Jeans are a must have. I’m sure I will be replacing them with capris when summer gets here, but basically I’m all about jeans. Semi flared/boot-cut/widelegged. I don’t do skinny jeans or tapered. No the heck way. I also like ’em dark. No washing or bleaching or sanding for me.
I just don’t do cute shoes. I know there are adorable ballet flats, wedges and espadrilles. But really, I just like to wear socks and shoes. And I don’t want laces. And because velcro has been out of style for awhile, my little sneaker-y type slip ons will suffice. I have a black pair and a brown pair that are virtually the same shoe. Of course, when summer hits it will be these and these…also easy and probably not too cute.
*this pic is also showcasing my 2 shirts standard.
**notice the hot pink tank underneath.
Well, that’s all folks. More than you ever wanted to know, I’m sure. But certainly not enough to make you run out and buy anything. But if you do want some real inspiration or want to share yours, head over to Big Mama’s and check out her Fashion Fiesta Mr. Linky!
(ps, did I rock the photoshopping picknick-ing or what?)

Girl, I’m with you on the layered look. Although it does get a little hot in the summer. And I really like those earrings in the first pic.
Nice to meet you!

I love layers, too! And I wear a tank top under everything! In the summer, I wear tank tops under tank tops.

Funny – what is with the long layered tank. I do that too. I have my staples black, gray & white. I like the guys version — the fit so much better for some reason (in the small) – and helva cheaper! I got in the habit too after Aiden was born & feel naked without my long tank!

FUN! You have a very cute sense of style. 🙂

Love the “easy shoes”. I’m going to have to find me a pair of those!

I love your style! It reminds me a lot of mine… layered t’s, jeans, comfy shoes and a touch of camo! It was fun visiting your site.

I thought our fashion goddess, Big Mama, said camo was a no-no???? Oh well, we all have to do our own thing and I think your layered tops are very cute!

It’s not drawing them that’s slow, it geinartneg themA few ways to improve performance would be: * precompute shadows for static lights and objects * only compute/render shadows from lights that might be visible on the screen (for big scrolling levels) Note that some ofscreen objects/light will need to be included in the algorithm to make it work well * for each light, only cast shadows from objects which are in the light’s range * any optimization that you would do in a physics engine, to avoid testing for collision between two objects, you can do in the shadows sample, to avoid computing shadows for some light/object pairsThere are probably a few other ways to increase performance, but the purpose of the article was to describe the technique

Ok, first, did you know “Project Runway” is going to Lifetime? Next season… starting in November. I’m a teeny bit addictedto PR.
And you look precious. Tees and comfy shoes can be a fabulous look. I’ve got some kickin’ jewelry that would look great with your tees. 🙂 I’m all about the accessories.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and thanks for introducing me to picknick-ing! I have seen it on other blogs, but I didn’t know how it worked. I’ll have to check it out.
Jeans, I love ’em. Comfort is very important for sahm’s!

Love your hair!

Well you may not think you’re trendy but I think you are! You have your own trend that makes me want to start layering up. We have the same exact opinion in jeans, too. 🙂

I wear dumpy, stained clothes, lol. I need a new wardrobe… but I’ll never look as cute as you. I’ve always loved seeing what you & Lydia are wearing. You both always look so cute!

I agree with your comment on BooSheep’s blog – you and my sister do share a closet! 🙂 Especially the layered/camo trend.
I enjoyed your post (even more so since you had to wing it thanks to your dh “stealing” the camera).
Also – the pigtails on your little girl are ADORABLE! She’s rockin the style just like her Momma.

lol, loved the ode to the two shirts – I think I sing the same song 😉 Our styles are so similar, let me loose in the gap and you’ll find me by the jeans wall and that display where they have the white, black and gray fitted tees. God bless you!

You always look so cute and put together while being casual at the very same time. I love it! I really like the long tank idea, too!

Amanda. How sad is this.
When I saw the picture of you in the black T, I thought, Oh look! She still looks pregnant, just like me! And she still looks cute! And then I remembered, Oh, man, she IS pregnant. Unlike me.
Sigh.

Looking over the dairy products reorpt some products are down from prior years while some are up. For example, Ice cream, regular (hard) 75.5 million gallons, down 3.7 percent. Convert all the products to a milk equivalent (subtract imported ingredients) and then talk about fuzzy math. Is it greater or less than 15.5B lbs? It’s up to you to be more responsible with the facts you call facts.

Looks and presentation are two crucial issues that you need to take care of while going out for any office conference or any party. Dressing up in the right way is very essential. It can have positive impact in your personality. It can also act as a confidence boost.

Catalin, you are probably right, but since Xbox360 is a DX9 deivce, waiting for DX10 in XNA would be not much of solution for me :/But, what if we compute a line that stretches across a polygon that is supposed to cast shadow. This line would connect the two most outer points of that polygon, the ones that are on the edges of your shadow. Then we could use that line for calculating shadow using Manders method. Off course such a shadow would partially cover the shadow casting object itself, but then we could draw that object on top of the shadow layer or maybe use a pixel shader to remove parts of a shadow that intersect with the shadow casting object itself.Again this is only a rough idea, based on my common sense logic and not a deep knowledge of the XNA and shaders. The knowledge which i unfortunately don’t posses (yet)
