The other day I was playing on the floor with Lydia. I love watching her. Her soft little face, her silky hair, her sweet lips. I just got a surge of love and thankfulness as I watched her.
I blurted out, “Lydia, did you know God has plans for you? He made you! And Mommy is so proud of the good girl you are. I love you so much. Did you know that?”
She looked at me very seriously and said, “I turn Mommy into a pumpkin! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5!!!”
Yet, still sweet.
Ha! They have a way of breaking up those mommy moments.
So God’s plan is for her to be a fairy godmother… it could be worse. 🙂
Aren’t girls grand? No, seriously, they are.
I LOVE that! I do that too – I get all deep and philosophical with Elias, and he replies with something like, “I am a ROBOT!”
I love it. She has high aspirations too mommy! No messing around with glass slippers and princes, she’s going straight to the top of the fairy tale chain!
Don’t you love it? Ahhhh…soon they won’t be doing it anymore and we’ll miss it. Lydia is such a sweetie.
