When I was pregnant with Lydia, I didn’t show forever. I wore my regular clothes for months. Well, I’m officially 13 weeks and I have already graduated to maternity clothes. Not all maternity clothes, mind you, but enough to make me wonder if my stomach will ever go back to normal. (I know, it won’t. Just don’t remind me.)
Well, my good good, very good friend, bee is showing off her baby bump today. It’s so cute! She’s got a little girl in there and I can’t wait for her bump and mine to meet. Well, I mean…yech, what I meant was, never mind. It’s unsalvageable.
Bee’s not just showing off because she’s one of those new mamas who think everyone wants to see every inch of her expanding body–oh no, she’s one of those greedy frugal mamas who can sniff out a bargain! And this, my friends is a bargain—show your baby bump on your blog and you could win a brand spankin’ new skip*hop diaper bag! Not to be left out, I’m showing mine, too! (I mean, I totally want you to win, bee. But I totally want ME to win, too!)
So, I started with the stand-against-the-wall-and-just-try-it shot first.

Hmmm. Not even sure if the camera is right side up here. What is that exactly?
Let’s try it from below…

Whoa! A little too much…uh, everything…
Let’s try again…

No one should ever ever have to see themselves like this. *shudder*
One more, for kicks…

Well, that my friends, might be the photographic equivalent of poetic license. I am only 13 weeks.
Let’s go for that side shot again…

Tight shirt. Horizontal stripes. I swear I’m not 32 weeks.
*sigh* I guess that elusive baby bump picture is…eluding me. I promise I won’t scare you with any more baby bump pics until I look sufficiently adorable (and put on a little lipstick. sheesh.).
(thanks pinks & blues for offering this sweet prize!)

You look lovely to me – believe me I was much larger at 32 weeks.
I meant 13 weeks – sorry!
I’m clapping and smiling. I &hearts the baby bump!
I didn’t show until I was about 28 or 30 weeks with any of my four… wore my regular jeans til then! I’m so tall I guess the babies just sunk in! I actually lost weight with each pregnancy too. When I was pg with Emelia the ob suggested she would be underweight because I wasn’t gaining enough weight. She was 9 pounds
I MEANT I ♥ the baby bump!!! UGH!!!
YAY!! So cute!
hahahahaha…..love all the ‘angles’! You’re one brave woman. For all that, I hope you win! The last shot really was the best.
Very cute.

Oh lucky for you my camera charger was delivered today … I’ll have to join the competition:)
oh, Amanda! Your baby bump is so cute! I’d show off my baby bump but the baby’s not there anymore… just the bump.
A question…. are you finding out if it’s a boy or girl? And if you are, are you sharing the news?
How fun! So cute. I’ve never gotten the chance to say congratulations and how excited I am for you : ) So yay you! Here’s hoping you win.

Oh gosh- too funny! You’ll have to continue to keep us updated with pics!
Steph
Your bump is doing well! It’s lovely to get to the stage where you can really flaunt your bump!
And now you are in maternity clothes, look out for wrap around tops or tops with rouching, like the ones on homemummy as these will grow with your bump and last throughout your pregnancy!

Your bump looks so good! And great news on my end-the ultrasound showed everything looks fine-no blockage (is that a word?) in the tubing to the kidneys and everything looks like they should be working fine after birth. We’ll check again near the end and after he is born, but my doctor was not concerned so I am super SUPER relieved! Thanks for your kind thoughts!
I love getting up-close-and-personal with my bloggy pals, and shots straight up the nose don’t get more personal than that! You look adorable, Amanda!
So avant garde! Talk about flair and technique! This baby’s gotta be an artist…
Love it! Thanks for “bumping” so beautifully with us!

Awww!!! So cute!!! I am catching up on blogs today, so I have 18 more of your posts to go!
Yeah, you are showing a lot sooner than you were with Lydia, but your body bounced back really fast with her… so I don’t think you have much to worry about. Some people are just blessed with bodies that carry children well without many side effects… (judging from my family history I will not be one of them so I’m a little jealous)

Uhhh….some of those are a little disturbing.
Baby bumps and Spring just GO together, don’t they?! Congrats.
Yay! Your bump is so cute!
Cute bump pictures!
I love your baby bump!! You look so darn cute, from every angle. I don’t know if you got my email… but I got your package yesterday!! Thank you, thank you!!
You crack me up. You don’t need lipstick with that preggers glow! I remember showing about four minutes after I found out I was pregnant with my second. Cute pics!
You look cute.
You know, I could enter this contest. It’s still a baby bump after 11 years, isn’t it? {sniff}
you look fantastic!
You look MAR-VE-LOUS! Cute perspectives!
Yeah, but the sparkles on your shirt make up for everything.
Just kidding, you look great!
