Where did she come from?

This morning I was awoken with, “I have to go pottttyyyyyyy!”

So, I took Lydia to the potty and the first thing she said as she sat down was,

“These are my hair clippies, these are my green wipees, this is my bathtub and my princess shampoo, this is my potty, this is my pajamas, this is my left hand, this is my right hand and I am Lydia Aravis!”*

All in one breath while pointing to each and every thing!

How in the world did she grow up over night?!

*That’s kind of the translated version. The 2 year old version was more like this, ” Ese are my cippies. Ese my geen wipee, my bastub, my pincess sampoo. Is is my adamas, my weft hand, my wight hand. I am yidia Awvis.”

That’s so cute! Elias is doing that too… but it’s more like, “Your car, my car, my cheek, your cheek, your lion, your polar bear, your face, your car….” That was an actual conversation he had with Donovan, just before he told him that he was beautiful. I almost cried!

It’s been way too long since I’ve seen her. We have got to get all the kiddos together! How cute!

Ok, that’s precious. I think girls are way more precocious than boys. Our Eliza’s always saying things that catch me off guard.

It’s amazing, isn’t it?! With my two older kids, I remember them each reaching a point where their vocabulary just exploded overnight! I’m waiting for it to happen with Isabel any day. *sniffle sniffle* My last baby.:(

Just wait! When you have #2 Lydia will seem to grow two feet taller and 20 pounds heavier… overnight! It amazed me every time a new baby came on the scene :)

Those are the moments that total awe you, but also make you pout because you realize how fast they’re growing up. So cute!

Ohmygoodness, is that not the sweetest cutest thing ever?! I am so pleased and excited that you get to experience this one more time with this new little pea pod growing inside. It’s the best thing in the world . . . moments as these :)

My three year old son does the same thing, only he does it when he is talking to someone on the phone. He thinks that they can see what he’s talking about! Kids are so great.
