It’s Wednesday! As in Wordless Wednesday! As in I post a picture every Wednesday of my family. I totally forgot! I just laid Lydia down for a nap, then sat down at my computer and said, “Hmmm. What should I blog about today?”
Well, I only have a few more pictures already scanned, so this is one of the last ones before I start digging through pictures again. I need to figure out how to get that black scrapbook paper off the back of some of them!
This is my Great Uncle Darrell on April 8, 1946.
Isn’t he cute? I never met my Uncle Darrell as far as I can remember. He was killed in a duck hunting accident as an adult. I remember going to Minnesota as a little girl and seeing a big picture of him and thinking it was very eerie.

try Un-du, in the scrapbook section of your craft store. It’s a gem! If the photos are in good condition. If they are at all damaged, I wouldn’t risk it.

Awesome picture, a. Do you know why he was posing there on the car? Was it a newly purchased car? And is that a sailor hat he has on? I love the history behind the pictures . . . speaking of scanning, I need to do more of that today, too. I do that with Grandma’s Diary and scan tons all at once. I am down to the nitty-gritty!

I’m starting to notice a pattern with your wordless Wednesdays… they’re not so wordless, huh? 😉 Great picture, though! Is it possible there’s a little of him in Lyida? Something about his expression…

You were too young to have a memory of Uncle Darrell- but we did celebrate your 1st birthday at his house!
