You are here: Home / me / Amanda, you just went to Minnesota! What are you going to do now?!

Amanda, you just went to Minnesota! What are you going to do now?!

(wrote this yesterday…just now posting…)

I’m on the plane. On my way to the SUNNY state of Georgia! Who’d ever think Atlanta would seem balmy in February? As we left our spa, everyone was talking about how it was so warm because the temperature was finally out of the negatives. * brrr * Can you imagine?

Today we took the best yoga class ever. It was Vinsayna (sp?) yoga. Which means you do the poses quickly in order, in a “flow”. Not the yoga where you hold one pose for five minutes at a time. It’s more aerobic. And for lack of a better word—FUN! Our instructor was amazing. He personally fixed my alignment and position several times during the practice. We took one more Therapy Pool class that focused on back strength. I am amazed at how much of a workout those water classes are!

After leaving the spa, we found some really cool stuff around Minneapolis. We felt like we were on the Amazing Race because I had a photo of my great-grandmother with two street names written on the back. We actually found the streets and possibly the house where it was taken! I used that picture for Wordless Wednesday once, so I can’t wait to show you the same picture 70 years later! We also hit up some cute Swedish stores. Swedish stores! It was right next to the Indian church, across the street from the Mexican mercado and just down the street from the Guyaquil Restaurant.

Now that my frigid spa exercise vacation is over, my big big news is I am leaving for our first family vacation TOMORROW!

We have been searching cruises every day and just really wanted to do a Disney cruise. We couldn’t find one in our price range and the week we wanted. But, two days ago, Les found the deal-of-the-century on the Disney Cruise site. He called me in Minnesota and said, “Are you up for leaving on Saturday?” I said, “I am if you are!”

So, while I’ve been gone, Les has been buying little girl bathing suites, crocs and t-shirts. He even went shopping for a princess dress today. I’ll be home at 11 tonight and see how well he did. Then we’re off to SUNNY Florida tomorrow!

I certainly will not be online this week. So every time you see my bloglines NOT updated, just smile and know I’m sailing the Bahamas with Mickey!

One day a foot of snow and non-stop exercise classes. The next day tank tops, flip flops and buffets laden with food? I’m one happy girl!

Oh no, Amanda! You’re not going to blog for a week, AND you’re going on a Disney cruise?!? Say it ain’t so! I won’t know what to do with myself. I’ll miss your blogs, but I’ll think of you in a warm, happy place…at least I’ll try to, being the Disney-starved gal that I am right now. 😉

I’m glad that you had fun on your trip! I’m a little bit jealous about the cruise! Seriously, you’re sailing through the ocean and I’m stuck with organic chemistry… life is ridiculously unfair! But oh well, I will try to value my education and be happy for you! 🙂
