10:00 am Arrive in Minneapolis and the fuh-reezing cold.
3:00 pm Check into hotel in Little Town, MN.
3:15 pm Visit my Grandfather’s farm, my great-great-grandparents grave, the rock quarry where my grandfather and great uncle played as kids, a Swedish town called Freedhem, the stream my mom ice fished in as a child, saw an inordinate amount of liquor stores and walked through more snow than I’ve ever seen in my life.
6:00 pm Ate dinner at Perkins.
7:00 pm Finally laying on the hotel bed blogging.
Are you believing this? I know, it’s kinda hard to fathom! We booted Oprah for my 30th birthday and have finally decided to do a little birthday gig. We’re tromping around my mom’s hometown for a day, then off to a SPA for a few more days!
I hope I get to blog about our adventures everyday. But if not, I’ll see you Friday!
Oh, and here’s a little pic to prove that I’m telling the truth. (The snow is halfway up my leg!)
hunnicutt – I don’t think you packed the right shoes for that adventure:)
Was this planned?
Woo hoo!!! Fun stuff!!!
I was in MN last week. It’s freezing cold and that’s more snow that I think I’ve ever seen.
I hope you enjoy the spa.
Also – I don’t know what part of town I was in, but Pittsburgh Blue was a yummy place to eat!!
What fun! Hope everyday is a blast!!! ‘See’ you when you get back! 🙂
mmmm – SPA!!!! and mmmmm, SNOW!
Have fun!
Hopefully your jeans and shoes have dried overnight…sounds like a great adventure still ahead of you.
Sounds like an awesome way to spend a 30th birthday!
Enjoy!
BRRRRR! Hope you have a good time!
I know the brrr feeling. I am just a little farther south in Wisconsin. Right across the border from Minneapolis. You’re right it is FREEZING!!!! Have fun and stay warm…
I can’t wait to read all about it! I’m so jealous of you at the SPA! Did you leave Lydia at home?
Good times!! Can’t wait to hear more!
Wow, sounds like you’ve had a great time already!! The snow looks cold, but can you send it here, please? lol Enjoy your SPA days!!
How fun!! Can’t wait to read more!
Common sight here in Ohio. Hope you find a better way to stay warm than I have!
It sounds like you are having fun 😉
So fun! I wish my birthday were as adventurous!
Busy, Busy! Love the snow!
so much superb information on here, : D.
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
With immense pride I wholeheartedly recommend the website http://www.seo-backlinks.org.uk to all those who are searching for quality Backlink Diversity that will knock out google panda and penguin crush your competition and catapult your website to the first page of Google search engine. I am extremely happy and impressed with their professional, prompt and dedicated services. So go online and explore the web now.
I don’t leave a response, but after browsing a few of the responses on this page My Very Adventurous Day | ohamanda.com. I do have 2 questions for you if you tend not to mind. Could it be just me or do a few of the responses come across like they are coming from brain dead people? 😛 And, if you are posting on additional places, I would like to keep up with you. Could you make a list of every one of all your social community sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
Thanks for sharing your opinions and thoughts this is great article!
