I hate wearing glasses - really, truly, HATE it - and I can't wear contact lenses either, but I am just way too chicken to let a machine slice my eyes (and while I am awake too). It just gives me the shudders in a bad way. Congrats on the pregnancy! I have had six pregnancies and each one was worse than before, but I think I'd rather have another pregnancy than a lasik surgery. (What a rant - sorry.)
