I guess I should update you on the pregnancy, huh?! I kinda forgot. oops.
First of all, THANK YOU for all the shout outs and congrats! I got 48 comments. That was so fun! I love you guys! For real.
We found out we were pregnant on January 22. That was the day of the Together for Life March downtown! Isn’t that a cool day to find out? We had to wait for the weekend to tell my parents. Then had to wait until this Monday to tell dh’s fam. His mom has been in Mexico for several weeks with my sil helping out with her new baby!
Then I got to tell my sisterchickies at The Melting Pot! (see some cute pics of us at Staci‘s) Oh, baby! They had Ladies Night Out—$20 for cheese, salad and chocolate. That is a deal, my friends! I gave everyone a little Cadbury egg (yes, Cadbury egg, can you believe those are out in the stores already?!) that had a piece of paper connected. It read, “Not to be outdone…Amanda’s little chickie is hatching October 2008!” There were several satisfying screams! And our waiter was kind enough to bring me a special plate of strawberries and chocolate to celebrate!
(Oh, wondering why it said “not to be outdone”? I’m not the only preggo sisterchick! Mandi’s little chickie is due September 2008! Yay, we’ll be preggo at the same time!)
Since I’m only a few weeks along, I haven’t been to the doctor yet. But as soon as I do, you’ll be the first to see a picture of our new baby!
Yay!! from me too:) Except for the part that you’ll be so much of a cuter pregnant girl than me:) I loved our special little desert that night!!

Oh, girl. I am just so very excited for you! I bet you might find that weathering the first trimester is a little, um, different when you have a little one underfoot. It was for me anyway! 😉 Can’t wait to hear (and see) all the exciting updates along the way!

Still so happy for you Amanda!!! That’s fantastic you have such a close friend to be pregnant with – I’m 1 of three of my closest friends and we all joke about it but it’s so amazing to share such a wonderful time in ones life. Can’t wait to hear more about it!!
