Thank you so much for all your prayers. It honestly means so much. I so believe in the power of prayer. I can just see our little bloggy prayers making a big difference!
Donna got out of surgery last night at 7pm! She had the mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Apparently, they found more cancer than they thought but are confident they got it all. She is still in the hospital and is of course still on medication. I talked to her daughter, Lindsey this morning and it sounds like Donna is hurting from the surgery but that’s all.
I also emailed my post and your comments to Lindsey to read to Donna and her family. Lindsey replied and said,
That was so touching!! It brought tears to my eyes. This situation has shown me how important it is to be a person that truly prays for others whether I know them or not. Tell your friends how much we appreciate their prayers. Thanks again!! Love you girl!
So, I just join them in thanking you for your continued prayers!

Thanks for the update, I was wondering/hoping that you would! I’m happy to hear that the surgery seemed to go well. I will continue to pray for Donna and that her recovery is smooth.

I can’t imagine the jolt of going through such a drastic surgery! In a day where something incredibly stupid engulfed my spirit and had me drowning in self-pity, I needed to read this to know that there are bigger things out there. I’m praying for your pseudo-mom and her family. You are so blessed to have them.

I am sooo happy to hear this report. I know this has been an entirely difficult situation for the entire family- but now they are on “the other side.” My prayers continue to be with Donna and her family. I know they are seeing the hand of God at every turn. I am standing with them for her total healng and recovery.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
