The Sisterchicks Spend the Night

With Staci’s big birthday last week, we decided to have a slumber party! But not just any slumber party–Staci booked a room at a trendy hotel. Now that we’re grown-ups, slumber parties are a little different. We all got there at different times because we were waiting on baby-sitters, getting off of work and fighting traffic. (Beck didn’t even get to come. Missed you!)

So, Staci and I got to the hotel first. We just lounged on our sweet sectional sofa, surfed the web in the e-room and made dinner reservations. Mandy got there soon after us. Then Mandi & Kristen arrived just in time for the doll-yourself-up segment. It’s fun getting dressed and doing hair and makeup with your friends. It felt like our cruise!

Anyway, we got to the restaurant at 8pm for our reservation. (Good grief, I was starving!) And I got the yummiest–Chilean Sea Bass prepared Hong Kong Style!

You know, we’re just normal girls. We don’t go off clubbing every night. We’re not world travelers (well, Kristen is…). So, when the waiter delivered warm towels to our table. We just weren’t sure what to do with them.

And Mandy & Kristen had to get their calculators out to do that huge 10% tip.

After kissing our waiter good-bye, we were off to a little cafe for dessert. (I got German Chocolate Cake but the picture didn’t turn out well.) After our bellies were stretched to the limit, we crawled up the elevator to our room…and our pajamas. We had a few party favors, a few more snacks and a lot of silly conversations. But there are some things, you just can’t share on the blog.

(did you notice the necklace with my stunning tshirt?)

That sounds like such a great time! I hope the German Chocolate Cake tasted better than how the picture turned out. :-)

Val and I say hi (she just saw all the comments you made on her blog and she was very excited…because she just said “Go see what Amanda’s been up to, I haven’t been there in a while”). So here we are and that sounds like you had an awesome time and it just inpired us that we should do some sort of bloggy buddy get together. Wouldn’t that be great? All of us blogging friends who don’t know each other in real life having a girlie weekend? Oh, what fun. Hope you have a great week : )
