Babies & Books

Thanks for all the prayers and well-wishes for Lydia. She is so much better today. She woke up talking, ate a bowl of oatmeal and is playing with a purple and silver streamer with her Daddy. I’m sure it was just a little 24 hour bug. But, oh! It’s the worst to see your kids sick, even a little. She was so listless and quiet all day. We put her to bed early and I think she slept for 14 hours last night!

I’m off to a conference with my mom today. She’s on the board and has invited me to be a part of a panel discussion. The topic is Families in Ministry. My mom was on staff at church my whole life, my husband and I have been in full-time ministry until we moved to Atlanta. So, it should be fun!

But the best thing I’ve done all day is this:

I just realized the other day that I hadn’t looked through all my books after Les brought our furniture back from Birmingham. So, I listed 12 books on paperbackswap.com and 11 of them were requested within 24 hours! That means 11 books for me! Yee-haw! If you are even a nominal reader, like to save money or like to get stuff in your mailbox, you have got too hook up with pbs! (and if you do it by clicking the little button below, I’ll get a credit for one more book!)

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the book site tip! I must be hungry because I thought those were bars of chocolate, not books! Have a good time at the conference.

Never underestimate the power of prayer. I have seen so many of my friend healed when we prayed for them. Every doctor will tell you how much having faith helps a person heal and recover!
