You are here: Home / me / I’m the Biggest Loser.

I’m the Biggest Loser.

Finally! Fall TV has begun! Real shows! My Tivo is actually going to get to flex it’s muscles and do something more than record JoJo’s Circus.

Tonight I watched the first of many season premiers–The Biggest Loser. This is my reality tv guilty pleasure. Oh, that doesn’t mean I don’t watch reality tv, I do. But I’m a reality snob. I only do Survivor and the Amazing Race. These shows are Emmy nominated, folks.

But I just love The Biggest Loser. The contestants are so motivating! This week, Jerry (on my hero, Bob’s blue team) lost 31 pounds. Thirty-one pounds in one week! ONE WEEK! That is just freaky. How is it possible that our bodies can do that? Seriously, that freaks me out.

The thing that makes this show on the B-list of reality tv is the pretend drama. I mean, the black team? Jillian rides in on a motorcycle? For real? That’s just too much. And do they really have to replay the previous scene when we get back from a commercial? I have TIVO people, I didn’t forget what just happened!

Anyway, to celebrate The Biggest Loser and a new season of fabu tv shows, my friend Kristen and I had a fondue feast. Carrots, apples, red and green peppers, french bread, salad and a yummy havarti/cheddar cheese fondue. Even Bob would have been proud–well, if it wasn’t for the 2 pounds of cheese and the foot long roll we ate.

Cheers to the new fall season! What shows will you be watching?

I saw that on last night and I thought about you–I remembered that you said you liked it. I’m so excited about Fall TV! I bought the TV guide Fall Preview yesterday so I could read up on the new shows and find out when my old standbys are starting. I can’t wait!

oOh my gosh, funny you should mention this show. The other night I caught my husband totally absorbed in that show (biggest loser) and this, the man who loathes reality tv!?!?!

    I ♥ the biggest loser!
I am one of those total nerds that almost cries at the scripted fake reality drama… and admit to a tear for those rejects when Jillian came riding up. I know it’s ridiculous, but oh the drama!
I am always AMAZED at the end of that show, the weight loss is bigger than incredible.

I LOVE the biggest loser! Jerry was amazing!I am so rooting for him 🙂
I also like the asian girl (can’t remember her name)She seems very ‘real’ and humble. I am also counting down the days to Grey’s Anatomy! yipee:)

I cannot wait for some new Grey’s Anatomy, Dancing With the Stars, and How I Met Your Mother! OhandOneTreeHill… (I figured it I “said” it really fast, no one would catch it and have time to give me grief over watching it!)

I’m considering actually watching America’s Next Top Model during it’s regular season rather than the reruns on MTV.

You and Kristen did better than me and my friends. We munched down Papa John’s pizza as we sat on our lazy keesters and watched the show. Love the show. Love Bob. Not sure who I’ll be pulling for this time around….I’m so ready for The Office, Grey’s, Survivor, America’s Next Top Model….

I used to watch Survivor–friend Mandalyn and family would come over every Thursday for dinner–but can’t now due to basketball practices and seasons. We don’t have cable, much less TIVO. But, I’m still alive after going No-Survivor cold turkey 😉
I still catch Amazing Race whenever I can. I want my hubby and I to win that race! I know we could do it–he can do anything!! 🙂

Tracie & Jen: I know, there’s something jacked with the silly first post. My hero at mancavemojo is already on the job and should be fixing it soon! Thanks for giving me a heads up, tho’!

Even without the Tivo, we still remember what just happened less than 5 minutes ago. I think it is reality tv ‘tricks’. They THINK we don’t know what they are up to. We KNOW they are having to stretch their footage when they do this. There just wasn’t enough good stuff to fill the entire hour. I do not watch The biggest loser show. I cannot even admit the reality tv programming I have filled my eyes with this summer. I am too ashamed! 🙂

I’m a fan of “The Biggest Loser,” too! In terms of new shows, I’ll definitely be checking out “Pushing Daisies” and probably “Bionic Woman,” “Journeyman” and “Samantha I Am.” When it comes to returning shows, I can’t wait to see “The Office,” “Prison Break” and after the new year, “Lost” and “The Amazing Race.”

First off, your link to Mandi is incorrect. Ha ha! Go check it out.

As for tv shows, we will watch Survivor, Supernatural, Grey’s Anatomy, the spinoff of Grey’s (can’t remember the name), Prison Break, Bizarre Foods…and I can’t think of any others at the moment!

We also watch the Colbert Report, John Stewart and Mind of Mencia. Lovin the new season of Colbert!

I watch the Bachelor w/ a group of girlfriends. That show has gone so downhill but we have so much fun watching it together. The fondue to such a great idea! I may suggest it since that show starts up in a few weeks!

Oh, I loved our little fondue party! I’m only feeling a little guilty today. :0) I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT AMAZING RACE! Do you know when it is?

I’m really impressed with your writing skills and also
with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or
did you modify it yourself? Anyway keep up the
excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one nowadays.

Welcome!
