Hebrews 12:11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

Spanking is not fun- but it will produce desired results of peace and right actions in our children.

Keep it up when necessary! Lydia will be the better for being trained in love, correctly.

I'm an anti-spanker! Are you surprised? We spanked with Jake and then stopped with Bay. If you want to know why I'm not a spanker, I'll tell you next time we talk. Time outs are so much more effective than corpral punishment.

I think we've started a little early. "No" and "stop" are not comprehended (so it seems). I've tried popping the hand, bottom, and leg and I don't even get an acknowledgment of existence. Yesterday was the first day of trying "time out" where I have to contain him on my lap in the floor. It didn't go so hot. He screamed, wiggled, squiggled, arched his back, etc. He got really sweaty and slipped out of my arms a couple of times (which is why I sit on the floor). It didn't seem to phase him, either. I'd let him go and it was back to standing on the printer, pulling the TV cables, etc. I need the time out, now!!!
