Brian and i waited 5 years b4 we got pregnant too. It was so nuts we took a pregnancy test one night after small group too - a friend of mine, who has a sense about stuff like this, asked if i was pregnant. It was crazy. I didn't even know or think i was. I fell in love with Lucy and mother hood has been such a blessing. i feel like a much better version of myself because of her. Both she and Brian bring out the best in me. love that kid! can't believe she is already 18mos old! THanks for this post. i was just browsing some of your old Lydia stories and ran across this. I'm glad your family finally got what you were trying to tell them! When I told my mom about my 1st pregnancy, she cried. And then she said "What have you done to me?" We had our first one year and one month after our wedding...and, yes, people were counting the months (rolling eyes). The next two were spaced 2 1/2 years apart and then our last guy was four years after that. Like I told Annie...now I wish we'd had more...I miss little ones! What a fun read!
