this is a great review. i, too, felt immensely satisfied upon finishing it. i, also, did not want to get my hopes up, in fear of being disappointed but JKR did her series justice. absolute justice. and i just loved how harry and ginny have five fat little babies. the epilogue was really sweet. also very final.

I loved reading your review - I cried again just remembering. And yes, I posted about it - and also delved in to the Christianity issue.

I loved all the moments you mentioned too. I really loved both Kreacher and Dobby...they really proved that house-elves and wizards are equals.

I forgot to mention my favorite part in my review: when Harry and Hermione visit the graves of James and Lily. I love the way Hermione reassured Harry about the quote on their graves...Harry was worried that "The Last enemy that shall be destroyed is death" was a death-eater idea and he got a bit panicky. Hermione calmly says, "It means...you know...living beyond death. Living after death." I think that was the first place I cried while reading.

I was trying not to get my hopes up about this book too much. I didn't want to be disappointed. Really, though, I didn't need to worry about it. It was all much better than I thought it would be.

"We did it, we bashed them, wee Potter's the one,
And Voldy's gone moldy, so now let's have fun!"

I read two chapters Sunday night, and finished the rest last night! I am satisfied, too. I'm so glad it wasn't a very sad ending. I don't have any original thoughts yet, as I am still processing. What a powerful story!

Thanks for commenting on my blog!

And, I have to agree with pooks - I didn't realize the dedication was shaped like lightning!

Thanks for pointing out Kreacher's doings - he was AWESOME indeed. And I thought he'd never be amiable... Also, I really do wish McGonagall were my professor - when she took off herding the desks to fight the Death Eaters - that was brilliant. I also liked Prof. Trelawney and her crystal ball weapons. And Snape...I think Harry's words to Albus were a bit cliché but because they were so true they did bring a tear to my eye. What an incredible read...

Thanks for coming by my blog! I love your seven moments. And guess what - I was in such a hurry to read the book that even though I read the dedication, I didn't notice what shape it was in. Duh!
