Just when I wonder what I’m going to use for Wordless Wednesday, another great pictures shows up in my inbox!
I love everything about this one!
The 2 older people in the front are my great-grandparents.
The girl in the front is my great-aunt.
The youngest boy on the back row is my grandfather.
The rest are assorted aunts and uncles or unknown people.
Notice the girls’ hair and their outfits–look how different the young girls look compared to my great-grandmother. Look at the guys’ hair. It’s so…dapper. Look at the baby’s shoes. I love the columns in the back. And look at the bucket by my great-grandfather. What’s that for? This is the kind of picture that just makes me want to know more!

What a fabulous picture! Ever notice how all the young ladies in those photos always look so beautiful? Thanks so much for sharing! It really does leave you wanting to know more 🙂
Great picture. Thanks for sharing and Happy WW.

I love family history!
looks like a happy family! have a great ww!
I love looking at old pictures as it makes me want to know more about what it was like to live back then. I also love to look at old houses. I wonder what the history of the home is…who built it? Who lived there?
Wonderful picture! Happy WW!!!
I never get tired of these kinds of pictures! It’s so cool that you have this from your family history!
Great WW!
I worked at the historical society for the state of Oklahoma during my senior year in high school. One job I was given was to sort out old photos, I loved just sitting in that room looking through pictures all day for weeks and weeks! It was interesting that they took family photos when someone ‘passed’ and they propped up the dead family member. There were a lot of dead pictures in fact, and a lot of pictures of towns that are now big cities. Fun stuff. The only draw back to that job was the overly flirtatious senior historian who thought I was his love child (I think not!!! :o)
That’s a wonderful WW post. You don’t seem to be at a loss at all. You thought out of the box with a wonderful result.
Family history photos are so priceless. I do the same thing…I examine them. The difference between now and then, and then I imagine what life was like. There is so many stories behind them.
Awesome photo – family photos ARE super special.. you did good!! happy day today 🙂
I love old photographs. It doesn’t matter if I know the people or not. Thanks for the sharing.
What a great picture! You are right…I want to know more.

Very cool and an excellent addition to Wordless Wednesday. I have pictures that look very much like this one too. Have a great WW. 🙂
A fabulous family photo. I always stare at old photos and try to “be there”, imagine what they had just been doing, what they were about to do, the weather, their thoughts, etc. Love this.
Old photos are indeed rather fascinating.
This is a great picture. Family history is always so interesting.
I love these old photos as well! How cool!
You always have such great old pictures! That’s neat that you know so much about your heritage. Thanks for sharing (even though your ‘wordless wednesdays’ aren’t so ‘wordless’! 🙂
