I like American Idol. I do. Well, I like it with Tivo. I have to fast forward everything Paula says and most of what Ryan says. And every time the contestants hold their fingers up with their phone numbers!
But tonight, I just have to make a comment.
Was that last song really fair? To make them sing the same one? How could you possibly beat-box to that?! Poor Blake. He was such a sport!
I’ve really vacillated on who I want to win. I kinda don’t want Jordin to win because she’s only 17. What might it do to her? And I really like Blake. I think he is different and so cool! But, does he really need American Idol to make a number one album? I don’t think so. I just feel like he got ripped on that last song because his first song was hot, dawg!
But I do know that Jordin toured with Michael W. Smith (who although, not my favorite in the music department, is so amazingly genuine) and he really believes she has what it takes as a PERSON to be the next American Idol.
Oh, and one more thing: the guy who wrote the anti-Blake song is Scott Krippayne, a prolific Christian songwriter. He’s written like sixteen #1 songs or something. How cool for him? And how cool for Jordin if she really is a Christian, to release a song written by a Christian?
Ok, ok, I changed my mind. I want Jordin to win.
But I am still going to buy Blakes’ albu–ah-eh-ahh-um!
(that was my wicked poor attempt at typing out some beatboxing.)
need more recaps? boomama’s gotcha.

They always have the final two sing the same song at the end. It’s always kind of ballady. I knew Blake would have a hard time with it.
I hated it for Blake, too. Bad song choice for him, and that’s too bad, ’cause I like him, too.
But, I like Jordan, too, ya know? They guy that co-wrote the song with Scott is a pastor!! That is very cool! I just wonder what genre Jordan’s new album will be if she wins??
I agree with what you said
PS you should have recapped sooner! And your blog is gorgeous! Ok enough exclamation marks! xoxo melzie
ok ps thats not my real blog my real one is at melziesmonologue.blogspot.com
I didn’t think it was a good song for Blake either. I knew that guy’s name sounded familiar when they introduced him. I like Blake and was ecstatic when he decided to do the Bon Jovi song. And I actually liked the song. I usually think they’re cheesy. But it had pretty good lyrics, talking about not living in the past and yada yada yada. And how sweet it was for Blake to let Jordin choose if she wanted to go first or second.
Your beatboxing made me laugh! :cD I so
For some reason all my comment didn’t post?! I said that I
Ok, did it again. What is happening?! Grrrr.
I knew Jordin was a Christian, and I knew about Scott Krippayne’s music. But, I didn’t know Jordin toured with MWS. Thanks for sharing, and for stopping by my blog today too! Can’t wait for the results show tonight!
Oh Amanda! Your reviews always make me smile! It was fun to read an AI entry!
I’m on the west coast trying not to peek at anything AI or Lost related, but I’ll be back to check the online buzz (if my head isn’t spinning).
So very cool that the AI songwriting winners were a pastor and Christian artist duo!
p.s. I have the Heroes finale recap in my drafts. I liked it, but it was nowhere near the big ending I anticipated. I hope Lost is more satisfying!
I agree. That SO was not fair. But I didn’t know Jordin toured with Michael W. I lurv him.
I wonder how much money Jordan has made from his shoe line? Probably in the billions!
Guys – Is it true that Google’s rankings have been cracked? I read on CNET that http://VerifiedFile.com has pissed off Google & Yahoo with some crazy method to stealing on the top ranks.
