Too Many Answers?!

I love the way the Lost writers smirk at us from behind the script. Remember a few weeks ago when Sawyer and Charlie (I think) were talking about the island and they were speculating as to what was wrong with it? “Maybe we’re in purgatory.” etc.? It was all the things we’ve been speculating for 3 seasons.

Last night’s episode was the same when Sayid said to Juliet, “I want to know everything!” That’s what I’m screaming! And Sayid is the first guy to actually ask a question. Last season they never asked questions. So, I’m glad to hear at least one!

Little did I know it was a multiple choice question. Here are the 3 answers I gathered last night:

A. Juliet is good. She has wanted nothing but to get back home to be with her sister and nephew. This is why Jack trusts her.

B. Juliet is bad. She is in cahoots with Ben. She is loyal to The Others.

C. Juliet is just selfish. She doesn’t care what she does or who she hurts, she just wants to get off the island. She’ll turn on the Losties or the Others.

I think I’m going with C. or B. or maybe A. I don’t know! What I do know is that the Lost writers love to show us only PART of what’s going on. So, I can’t help thinking all the soft-hearted scenes in Juliet’s backstory are missing something.

Other Lost moments of the night:

Kate & Sawyer’s hug! Way to be sweet Sawyer!

Jack saying, “She’s under my protection!” (puh-lease!)

Juliet revealing Sawyer & Sayid’s sins. (can we say “creeeepy”?)

Seeing the weird-patch-guy’s video screens & their ability to find out anything. (again with the creepy)

Well, I can’t believe it, we got some good stuff last night. I’m sure next week will be in morse code or something equally cryptic. *sigh* It’s good to be LOST!

What struck me is that Jack, who normally is so no-nonsense, IS NOT ASKING JULIET ANY QUESTIONS. Doesn’t that seem weird? He KNOWS she holds the keys to many of the questions they’ve had all this time, and yet he won’t ask her. That boy must be in love.

I’m glad you gave us a recap because I had to work and couldn’t watch it. Thank you!!! (Btw, my perception so far is, I think Juliet is a bad guy.)

First, I love your posts on Lost! So much fun! Here’s my take on Juliette, I think she was a good guy, who, given desperate measures, has turned into a bad guy. That hug was AMAZING! Did you see how he held her head?!?! Ok, maybe my husband had been out of town for too long. Anyway! Best line of the night, “Let’s sick our resident Iraqi on her and then see what she has to say.” Charlie.
Paaalease is right about Jack saying Juliette is under his protection. We all know that Sied could destroy him! Can we PLEASE get back to the people that were buried alive or are we just to assume that they are now dead?

Sue, I thought that was creepy, too. It was almost worse than anything else she could say because it was like she didn’t care and all the terrible stuff they did was just part of her daily work. eewww.

I love the “resident Iraqi” line, too!

And, yeah, Shannon! What is UP with Jack completely not wanting to know anything? When he was imprisoned he certainly wanted to know a lot. Do you think he’s involved with Juliet and the Others? oooooo, I don’t want to think about that. Jack just gets on my nerves!

My favorite part was Hurley asking Juliet why she wasn’t at the dock when Lostie’s were drugged and kidnapped and she replied “I had the day off”!
