You are here: Home / me / I do.

I do.

As promised, here is my next installment of my fabulous parties (in honor of the UBP). And this is the primo party. My wedding. The day every girl dreams about. Well, tell me what kind of dreams you might have after these pictures…

This is me, my groom & his grandparents.

not a trick photo...

Here they are, my beautiful bridesmaids!

i worked at a bridal salon...

Ah yes, the classic feed-each-other-cake-and-if-you-shove-it-in-my-face-I’ll-kill-you picture.

our cake cost more than my dress. it was delish!

And my favorite, a sweet shot of the new bride & groom.

twue wuv.
So, what do you think? Am I right? Is this heinous? Have you honestly seen anyone who has worse pictures than me? If so, I really really want to hear about it.

In case you’re wondering, the photographer (and I use that term lightly) accidentally clicked half the shutter closed at the very beginning of the photo shoot. The only pictures I have without black lines are some pictures of my dh and his family. Who wants those?! And some of my dh & the groomsmen. So lame.

There were over 600 people at the wedding, so lots of people took pictures. I’ve got lots of candids. I promised myself I’d scrapbook the pictures so I could save some of them. But…8 years later you guys have seen more of my wedding pictures than anyone else.

(BTW, the reason I’m posting this so late is because it has literally taken me ALL day to get these pictures–find them at my parents…then only find the negatives…go to Wal-mart to print them…their machine is broken…go to Walgreens…go back an hour later to pick them up…scan them…restart my computer…restart the scanner…scan them…resize them…crop them…upload them. That’s more than my stinkin’ photographer did for my wedding!)

Ha. I didn’t read the post and I was about to comment on how your pictures are all messed up and you should repost. Luckily I thought I might actually read it before commenting. But man….what a bummer! You’ll have to post some of your candids. I’d love to see what it looked like! I’ll even post some from my wedding this week on my yahoo account and email you the link.

Oh my Lord! I am so sorry you had to go through this. I am a pro photographer and would literally shrivel up and die if this happened to me (from a photographers stand point)! What did your photographer do? I’m dying to know if he/she reimbursed you or what?! Did he/she feel bad? Had this happened before? Was he/she new at this? I can’t imagine pusing a shutter half way and not notice that I was doing such a thing. Oh my. Well, I am glad you can look back without much resentment! I feel for you, my dear! If you have ANY pictures that you do really like, I’d even be happy to print them big and nice for you AT COST because I just hate that you don’t hardly have a single nice picture. I’m wondering . . . are there any family pictures where you and dh could be cut out and made larger? I’d be happy to play around with that for you! Feel free to email me 🙂

OH MY GOSH, I would have died. You poor thing, you. I will NOT complain about our wedding pictures anymore, and ours are SERIOUSLY bad. But you take the cake, my friend.

I’m finally getting around to visiting some of the people who stopped by my place during last week’s party, and GIRL. I am so sad about your pictures! Like a previous poster, at first I thought you chopped off the heads to protect your identity. Wah.

But I love your blog, and I’ll be back!

    Amanda,
I’m sorry- but after looking at the pix and reading your comments, I am laughing out loud so hard that I’m practically waking Daddy up all the way upstairs. This is NOT funny- but your comments and the absolute craziness of the pictures is really funny (now!)
    Mama 🙂

OhAmanda, that’s awful! I was just complaining last night that all of my wedding photos are not digital, but I realize now that I have nothing to complain about! Well, happy anniversary in spite of poor photos! July 25 is a great day to be married!

You’re kidding me, right? These are professional wedding pictures???? With the shutter half closed? I’d be ill.

I really like what you’ve acquired here, certainly like what you are saying and the way in which you say it. You make it entertaining and you still take care of to keep it smart. I can’t wait to read much more from you. This is actually a wonderful web site.
