It’s Sunday. Surely Sunday should be a day of rest from blogging. Well, for me, blogging is resting. As a sahm you don’t get a lot 0f (any!) alone time. When I’m online, even if I’m wearing my pjs, cooking and listeining to my daughter play, I’m alone.
Wow, I don’t know where that came from! I’m supposed to be writing another party blog for the UBP from 5m4m. (It was too long to type.) I’m having a hard time because I really want to share some parties that I CANNOT find the pictures to. One of them being my wedding pictures—how do you misplace your wedding pictures? Well, wait till you see mine and you’ll understand.
Today I’m debating between 2 parties–a costume party (actually 2 costume parties) or Lydia’s dedication. Hmm…being that it’s Sunday…I’m not trying to be super-spiritual, but I think the dedication would be appropriate.
It really was cool. Lydia got dedicated at her grandfather’s church (my dh’s dad) along with her 2 cousins, Judah (2) & Bryar (3 months younger than Lydia). Judah & Bryar’s parents, my dh’s sister & bil have lived in Chicago almost their whole married life and they just moved to Mexico to be missionaries this year. So, to have this day with them is very special.
For some stupid-internet-wordpress-iphoto-user-error reason I can’t get all the pictures I want on here. But here’s one of my beautiful girl. So, she looks a little like a milk maid–a very cute milk maid.
I know this isn’t really a party per se, but it was a celebration of Lydia’s life. Not just being born, but of what my family and I desire for her life. As a Christian, I want Lydia to grow up loving and knowing God. I want her to be a confident, loving, selfless girl. This dedication was our chance to show our family, friends and God that we are actively trying to raise our daughter to love and honor God. So, for me, that is a reason to celebrate!
Tomorrow, I promise, even if I have to drive to my parents house, there will be wedding pictures. You HAVE GOT to see these!
Happy Sunday!

Lydia is so cute. I especially like the pictures from her blog where she is walking around with the flower. I am curious about the wedding picture. Surely it can’t be that bad. I’ll be back to check it out. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for coming by for my party! Lydia is absolutely gorgeous and what a beautiful picture with her in her Christening dress. As you know I love parties and I had so much fun checking out your dad’s 50th party. What a great idea! I am happy to hear that he is a cancer survivor, PTL! I will be sure to check back later and read some more. Happy Partying!

What a beautiful little girl! Your post about her dedication was lovely. I know how you feel about wanting to raise your children up strong in the Lord; our daughter Hope was baptized this past Saturday, and it was the same kind of confirming experience for our family. I’ll stop by for more party later! Thanks for coming by my site.

Amanda, I love your site design. OK–I am the one who works at Oneighty in Muncie, IN. Happy to meet someone familiar with Tulsa! My staff is heading there for the Elevate conference this month. Your baby girl is bee-utiful! Praise God that you are raising her up in the way she should go. And your ’70s pics are hilarious. I’m so glad you stopped by and I stopped by here!
